Printing and Cutting the Images

1. Your artwork has been createded in a design software such as CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator or Flexi-Sign with a cut line. From here, the next step is to save or export, depending on the software, as a suitable file format for the Roland VersaCAMM and VersaWorks software. Many formats are suitable, but .EPS files will give you the best results.
2. Now that you have your artwork in .EPS format, you can now import it into Roland VersaWorks where the job will be ripped, printed and cut. All settings for the job will be set in this software.
3. After bringing the job into VersaWorks, you will select the appropriate settings for the job. Here you will layout the job, select the appropriate profile for the particular media being printed on and any other settings that are necessary for the particular job. After settings are made, the job is ready to send to the printer.
4. The job will run until the entire file has been printed. Once printing is completed, the job will then be automatically contour cut where ever the cut line had been created in the artwork.
5. After the design has been printed and cut, use the sheet cut function on the VersaCAMM to cut off your print. Take the cut off image to a flat surface, as it is now time to weed the excess material. Weeding is the process of removing the material that is not to be heat applied to the garment. Be sure to not forget about the inner cavities of lettering.

Depending on the material being used, after weeding you may have to mask the images.
